The main activities are listed below:

  • Tape-out of Radar MMIC 22FDX MPW
  • Antenna design for wide bandwidth (> 5 GHz) and high performance using low-DK dieelectrics using planar antenna design
  • Antenna design for wide bandwidth (> 5 GHz) and high-performance using new design techniques and materials
  • Validation of Radar MMIC 22FDX performance in lab
  • 2nd Tape-out of Radar MMIC 22FDX MPW by ARBE based on a chip-spec
  • Package design
  • Sensor design (PCB and housing)
  • Validation of system in the lab & the antenna chamber
  • Development of high-performance Radar Signal processing algorithms
  • Integration of the Radar sensors into the vehicle and drive demos (incl. videos)
  • Environmental stress (humidity, high temperature, temperature cycles) & evaluation of fails
  • Specification of a DL use case and its requirements together
  • Development of a DL VHDL soft IP core, demonstrated on an FPGA
  • Integration of the FPGA-based DL IP in the demos
